SOCW650 Behavioral Health Social Work Practice in Health Settings
This course provides knowledge and skills for behavioral health practice methods utilized in health care settings, with a focus on culturally responsive practice, complementary therapeutic care, patient advocacy, and transition from care. Attention will be given to ethics in health care dilemmas and settings and collaboration in interdisciplinary teams, including the social worker’s leadership role. The course will cover a range of illnesses and disabilities and health settings, with coverage of issues pertinent to children and youth and related to aging.
