MTHD603 Designing for Everyone: Accessibili ty and Inclusive Design
This 2-unit applied course explores the principles and practices of inclusive design for digital experiences. Students will examine how accessibility, usability, and human-centered design intersect to create products that are equitable and affirming for diverse users, including individuals with disabilities, neurodivergent users, and those with varied sensory, cognitive, and motor profiles. Emphasis is placed on designing for real-world impact and fostering a professional ethic of accessibility within psychology, mental health, and UX contexts. Through readings, discussion, and a practical redesign project, students will learn how to evaluate digital accessibility and advocate for inclusive experiences in professional environments.
