Admission for the Master of Social Work Program
The MSW program admits students once a year for the fall term. The program is two years or eight quarters in length and uses online delivery with three Friday through Sunday on-campus immersion residencies in each of the two years. The MSW program admits Advanced Standing students once a year for the summer term. The Advanced Standing program is five quarters in length and uses online delivery with three Friday through Sunday on-campus immersion residencies. The MSW program admits BA-to-MSW pathway students who have successfully completed 12 courses in the MSW program as part of their baccalaureate degree. These students have completed their BA degrees in programs or institutions that have established BA-to-MSW pathway agreements with PAU. Graduates of these BA programs are not pre-admitted to the MSW program but must apply for admission like all other applicants. While the MSW program is principally online, all students are required to attend on-campus immersion residencies and participate in in-person field education.
