International Applicants
Students who attended an institution outside of the US must have their transcript(s) evaluated and, if applicable, translated. You may select any vendor that is a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). Please visit www.naces.org/members for a complete list of members. Your course-by-course evaluation should be sent directly to PSYCAS. International students who plan to be outside the U.S. while enrolled are eligible to apply to the online format of the masters in counseling program.
For international applicants remaining in their home country and applying to the online format, and those whose undergraduate studies were in a language other than English, the TOEFL or IELTS exam is required. Scores can be submitted through PSYCAS. For international students who earned their bachelor's degree in the US or other English-speaking countries, these exams are not required.
It is the responsibility of students to find a clinical placement site that is best suited to their training needs as well as meet CACREP standards. PAU has agreements with only a handful of international agencies and, therefore, can provide limited support in the search process. Once enrolled, you can work with the clinical training team as needed.
