Doctoral
PhD in Clinical Psychology: Full-time status for PhD students in Clinical Psychology is at least 9 units per quarter in years 1-4. In Years 5 and beyond, full-time status is at least 3 units if completing internship or dissertation. PhD students may enroll in up to 16.5 units per term. Students who wish to take more than 16.5 units may request approval from their advisor and the PhD Leadership Team, but in no case may they take more than 18 units. Approval to take more than 16.5 units will not be given to any student who (a) has a current unresolved Incomplete grade or (b) is on an academic standing lower than Satisfactory (i.e., on Warning or Probation).
PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision: Full-time status is at least 9 units per quarter or anytime a student is enrolled in COUN 802 Dissertation.
PsyD in Clinical Psychology: Full-time status for PsyD students in Clinical Psychology is at least 9 units per quarter in years 1-4. In years 5 and beyond, full-time status is at least 3 units if taking internship or dissertation. PsyD students may enroll in up to 18 units per term.
